Many people are embracing the decision of the 2020 election, and they have spoken. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will both be our next president and vice president, respectfully. There is a lot of work to be done and as we get through the thick of things - there’s going to be something else happening behind the scenes. Those in the previous administration are going to attempt to rehabilitate their image through the entertainment route. Don’t let them.

This is just like the many “tell-all” books from such as Omarosa, John Bolton, and Michael Cohen. It’s like when Sean Spicer was a contestant on Dancing With The Stars. These aren’t fun-loving figures that just happened to have a lapse in judgment. They don’t deserve to be fun-loving characters and the past four years be a mirage to their behavior. They knowingly aided and abetted an administration who has tried to take away health care for millions, put children in cages, lost children, etc. The list goes on.

I don’t care to see Ivanka on Dancing With The Stars or Jared yucking it up on The View. Wouldn’t care for a Keeping Up With The Trumps show on the E Network. And no, I am not interested in hearing political analysis from the Trump children on CNN or MSNBC. There’s a difference between forgiveness and holding people accountable for their actions.  Don’t want to see Betsy DeVos giving her “expertise” on education or Stephen Miller anywhere near a microphone. Would you ask a carpenter about the efficacy of a vaccine? One of the things that are embedded in America is that we like to reform. To that credit, some people do deserve forgiveness. However, that is earned. It’s earned through action and profuse, genuine apologies. To the likes of which, this administration has no inking of doing. Hell, they won’t even concede the presidency - something that every proceeding president has done.

So, when somebody asks you to put differences aside, show them your family photos or dinner table of the possible loved one you lost during the pandemic. We are at 123,000 cases a day and 240,000 deaths because of this administration’s ineptitude of taking COVID seriously. The White House is on its third outbreak and Chief of Staff Mark Meadows who just tested positive stated that they had we were not going to control the pandemic.

Let’s not have a moment where we ooh and ahh like George W. Bush sharing candy with Michelle Obama. 545 kids cannot find their parents This family has demonstrated that they crave dynasty and power at the expense of everyone else. Don’t reward cruelty with underserved attention and short memories. You know, in movies, sometimes the bad guy has an epiphany and tries to make up for the bad things they’ve done. This isn’t a movie. The celebrations you saw today are for people who can now breathe a sigh of relief that they have some semblance of a future to build to. It’s time for Americans to stop confusing holding people accountable for what they do and say as cancel culture and allowing cold-hearted people to be redeemable. You have the freedom of speech, but you don’t have the freedom to control the actions of whom you hurt with that freedom.  For an administration that sought to take away the freedoms of so many for four years, don’t let them off the hook.
